Capchr privacy policy

This policy applies to the Capchr iOS app and related services that support product capture, AI image and video generation, and publishing workflows.

Who we are

Capchr is operated by Verve Media Group Ltd, the controller of your personal data.

What we collect

Your email address and account details, the images and product information you upload, how you use the app and your credit usage, and your subscription status. Your payment card details are handled by Apple, so we don't collect or store them. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites for advertising.

How we use your information

To provide and improve the service, including generating AI imagery and listings from your images, to manage your account and subscription, to support you, and to keep the service secure and prevent misuse.

Where your images go

To create your results, the images you upload are sent to and processed by trusted third-party AI providers on our behalf, and stored using a secure third-party cloud platform. Some of these providers are based outside the UK, and we use the safeguards required by UK data protection law for those international transfers.

Sharing your information

We don't sell your personal data. We share it only with the providers that help us run the service and with platforms you choose to connect, such as Shopify and TikTok Shop, so we can publish your listings at your direction. When you connect a sales channel, we send only the product listing information needed to publish — such as product titles, descriptions, images, prices, and inventory — not your personal browsing data, and we do not use it for advertising.

Storage, retention, and your rights

Your data is stored with industry-standard encryption and access controls, and we keep it only as long as needed to provide the service. When you delete content or close your account, we delete or anonymise your data within a reasonable period, unless the law requires us to keep it. You can access, correct, or delete your personal data at any time, and object to or restrict certain uses. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ICO).
